BULGARIAN BLACK SEA COAST  
The Bulgarian Black Sea Coast covers the whole eastern bound of Bulgaria. Black Sea Coast beaches occupy approximately 130 km of the 378 km coast. The area enjoys sunny, seasonable climate from May through October with average air temperature in summer at about 28°C and the average water temperature at 25°C. There are more than 240 hours of sunshine in May and September and more than 300 hours in July and August.

The Balkan Mountains cross the country, dividing the coastline from south to north. Bulgaria's northern Black Sea Coast is rocky, with cliffs up to 70 meters in height. The southern coast is known for its perfect golden sand beaches with beautiful, clear seas.

The beaches face east, offering a wonderful view of the sun coming up over the water and all the resorts are within easy access to Bulgaria's many inland attractions, which include Roman ruins, ancient castles and monasteries, and many vineyards. The waters of the Black Sea are calm and without strong tides. Because of its natural beauty, the Bulgarian Black Sea coast has become a famous international resort area. The largest city on Bulgarian Black Sea Coast is Varna, located on the northern part of the coast.
• Varna
 

Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria after Sofia and Plovdiv, with a population of 351,552. It is the capital of Varna Province and an important port in the eastern part of the country, located on the Black Sea coast close to Lake Varna.

Varna is commonly referred to as the "Sea Capital of Bulgaria". The city was also the base of the Bulgarian Navy. Currently, there is a Naval Museum with a museum ship torpedo boat Drazki. The archaeological museum contains some of the finds from the so-called "Gold of Varna", a cache of Chalcolithic grave-goods which are the oldest gold treasure in the world.

Varna was founded as an ancient Greek trading colony, Odessos, about 580 BCE. The city is an important economic centre for Bulgaria and the Black Sea region in general. Major industries include trade and transportation. Tourism is of great importance to the city, with the nearby resorts of Albena, Golden Sands, Constantine and Helena, Riviera and many others, each year attracting millions of visitors from all over the world. The following airlines connect the city with other European towns: Bulgaria Air, Hemus Air, Austrian Airlines, Malev, British Airways, Aeroflot, Air France, Czech Airlines, LOT and Lufthansa amongst others.
Some of the famous landmarks of Varna include the Varna Dolphinarium, the Sea Garden, the Roman Baths, the Palace of Culture and Sports, the Varna Necropolis, the Varna Observatory and Planetarium. The nearby cave monastery Aladzha is also a popular tourist sight. Additionally, the 2 km long bridge Asparuhov most is a popular place for bungee jumping.

Night time in Varna has more of a time than any other night you've ever seen. The beach area comes alive as the crowds flock to enjoy the warm summer nights. Nightclubs, discos, restaurants and cinemas, the carnival games are a whole lot of fun.

• Golden Sands  
 

The Golden sands resort is 17 km north of the city of Varna and near the Golden Sands National Park. It is easily accessed since motorway E87 runs right along the coast and E70 from central Bulgaria to Varna.  It’s a magnificent resort, the largest one on the Northern Black Sea coast, with richly wooded hills, white golden beach and clear blue sea. There are a lot of very famous and ancient mineral water springs, which were known already to the Thracians and the Roman Caesars. The resort’s beach strip is 3.5km long and up to 100m wide. The average air temperature in summer is 27-30 degree and the water temperature is 25-28 degree. Golden sands suits both sun-worshippers and sightseers being nearby Varna, the pearl of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast with a great number of places of interest. There are 4 five star (Hotel Kempinski), 19 four star, 39 three star and 18 two star hotels, holiday clubs, two villa complexes and 10 luxury villas in Golden Sands resort. The resort merges with the St. Konstantin and St. Elena resort and the Riviera resort. Golden Sands has wonderful conditions for recreation, entertainment, sport and spa treatments. • Sunny Beach  
 

Sunny Beach is a resort on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, located approximately 35 km north of Bourgas in Nesebar municipality, Bourgas Province. It is the biggest and most popular holiday resort of the country. Situated in the southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea Riviera, stretching along a beautiful semicircular bay facing east, closed to the north by the descending ridges of the Balkan Range, blends sea and mountain in perfect harmony. Sunny Beach accommodates many thousands of tourists from Germany, Russia and recently Great Britain and Scandinavia. The climate of the area is Mediterranean, explaining Sunny Beach's popularity with tourists.

Attractions for tourists include the beach, water sports, nightlife, and the nearby historical site of Nesebar, an architectural and historic monument of Bulgarian and world culture. Sunny Beach is popular for both families and young people. The Golden Orpheus International Festival of Popular Song, the Decade of Symphonic Music, part of the International Folklore Festival, fashion-shows and various beach competitions are held there.

• Nesebar  
 

Nesebar is an ancient city on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, located in Nesebar municipality, Bourgas Province.

Nesebar has on several occasions found itself on the frontier of a threatened empire, and as such it is a town with a rich history. The ancient part of the town is situated on a peninsula connected to the mainland by a man-made isthmus, and it bears evidence of occupation by a variety of different civilizations over the course of its existence. Its abundance of historic buildings prompted UNESCO to inscribe Nesebar on its list of World Heritage Sites in 1983. According to legends, the churches of Nesebar were no less than 41, which, when compared to the small population of the town, make the latter one of the world's settlements with the highest number of churches per capita.

In modern times, Nesebar is a major tourist attraction. Its beach is considered to be one of the finest along the Black Sea coast due to a large sandy strip, covered with clean golden sand.
